Tour highlights
Our Go4Cycling team welcomes you at Milan Malpensa Airport.
From there, we travel towards the spectacular Valtellina region and the mountain resort of Aprica, our base for the first three nights.
After checking in, we prepare the bikes and, depending on arrival times, enjoy a first ride through the surrounding alpine scenery.
Discovery Ride: approximately 35–40 km, exploring the roads around Aprica.
Challenge Ride: approximately 50–65 km, with an additional descent and climb in the surrounding valleys.
In the evening, we enjoy a welcome dinner and a detailed briefing about the upcoming Giro mountain stages.
Accommodation: Cristallo Club & Wellness Hotel **** – Aprica.
Today promises to be one of the highlights of the entire trip.
We head towards the legendary Passo del Mortirolo, one of the most feared climbs in professional cycling.
Depending on the final Giro route and road restrictions, we will offer two cycling options.
Discovery Ride: approximately 40–50 km, exploring the Valtellina valley and the lower slopes of the Mortirolo region.
Challenge Ride: approximately 70–85 km, potentially including a full ascent of the Mortirolo, subject to road access and the confirmed race schedule.
Our main objective is to experience the professional race from a strategic location along the course.
If the rumoured double passage over the Mortirolo is confirmed, we will aim to select a single accessible roadside viewing point where guests can watch the riders pass twice.
If the race finishes in Aprica, we will evaluate whether it is practical to watch the finale from an accessible location close to our hotel.
We will not attempt to follow the race by vehicle through closed mountain roads.
Accommodation: Cristallo Club & Wellness Hotel **** – Aprica.
Today we explore the spectacular mountain scenery of Trentino.
We travel towards the Madonna di Campiglio region, renowned for its alpine beauty and cycling heritage.
Discovery Ride: approximately 40–50 km, following a carefully selected valley and mountain route with manageable climbing.
Challenge Ride: approximately 70–90 km, including a longer alpine climbing route towards the Madonna di Campiglio area.
If the anticipated Giro stage finish in Madonna di Campiglio is confirmed, we will aim to experience the race from an accessible viewing point below the busiest finish zone.
Our priority is to provide a memorable roadside experience while avoiding the congestion and difficult access associated with major mountain-top finishes.
After the stage, we return to Aprica for our final night in Valtellina.
Accommodation: Cristallo Club & Wellness Hotel **** – Aprica.
Today we leave Aprica and travel east towards the beautiful Carnia region in Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
Our route takes us through spectacular alpine landscapes, with an opportunity for a shorter cycling experience along the way.
Discovery Ride: approximately 40 km on an accessible scenic route selected along the transfer corridor.
Challenge Ride: approximately 65–80 km, with additional climbing where time, weather and logistics permit.
If the Giro route offers a convenient roadside passage along our transfer corridor, we will incorporate it into the programme.
This is also a day to enjoy the mountain scenery and recover from the previous demanding stages.
We arrive in Arta Terme, our base for the final three nights.
Accommodation: Grand Hotel Gortani **** – Arta Terme.
Today we discover the less-travelled roads of the Carnic Alps.
The region offers magnificent cycling routes, quiet mountain valleys and spectacular views.
Discovery Ride: approximately 40–50 km through the valleys around Arta Terme and Sutrio.
Challenge Ride: approximately 75–90 km, with additional climbing on the surrounding alpine roads.
Depending on the final Giro route, we aim to attend a stage start or a roadside passage in Friuli or the neighbouring Austrian region.
We will select a location that can be reached comfortably with our support vehicle, rather than attempting difficult transfers between multiple race locations.
After the ride, we return to our hotel and prepare for the final major mountain stage.
Accommodation: Grand Hotel Gortani **** – Arta Terme.
Today we experience one of the most spectacular possible highlights of the Giro d’Italia 2027: the Monte Zoncolan.
Famous for its steep gradients and legendary battles, the Zoncolan is one of the most iconic climbs in professional cycling.
We deliberately avoid promising access to the summit or the heavily congested final kilometres.
Instead, our Go4Cycling team will select an accessible roadside viewing point on the race route, preferably in the valley or on the lower slopes of the climb, where guests can enjoy the atmosphere without spending hours in restricted traffic zones.
Discovery Ride: approximately 40–50 km, exploring the valley roads around Sutrio and the Carnic Alps.
Challenge Ride: approximately 70–85 km, including additional climbing in the surrounding area, without relying on access to the race’s closed summit road.
Our support vehicle will provide a meeting point and refreshments, and we will enjoy the passage of the professional peloton from our selected location.
After the race, we return to Arta Terme for our farewell dinner.
Accommodation: Grand Hotel Gortani **** – Arta Terme.
After breakfast, we check out and begin our transfer to Milan Malpensa Airport.
As this is a longer journey from the Carnia region, we recommend booking return flights in the late afternoon or evening.
Our programme concludes at the airport, leaving you with unforgettable memories of the Italian Alps and the Giro d’Italia.
